I have been designing homes since I got my first drafting job at Custom Creations in 1987 just out of college. It was there that I realized I wanted to be in Residential Design. I've been in this field ever since, exclusively for Tackett Homes from 1997-2005 and creating homes for my own clients from 2005 to the present time.
I have seen a lot of changes in styles and standards over the years. Remember the old 12 block basements or the standard 8 foot tall main level ceilings? We've come a long way since then.
